How to Use 'Conditional Approval'

  What it is
Conditional approval is designed to save you some work and lessen the time an applicant remains pending. Before CA, your options for a site which qualified, but FAILed the checker test were:

  1. Let his site pending indefinitely, leaving him to wonder if your ring was even being managed
  2. Approve then suspend, confusing the member with multiple emails resulting from the multiple actions
  What it does
CA will approve and place in ACTIVE status any site which PASSes (or PASS-L) the checker test PRIOR to approval. CA will approve and SUSPEND any site which does NOT PASS (or PASS-L) the checker test PRIOR to approval.

  How to set it up
CA does take a bit of work to set up, but once in place is a valuable time-saving tool. The steps are as follows:

Compose the 'Approve' Message for the PASSing sites

It should include everything you'd say to a site that has the code in place and PASSes the checker and is being activated. Then enclose it with the special tags. {{PASS}}YOUR EMAIL HERE{{/PASS}}
Compose the 'Approve' Message for the non-PASSing sites
It should include everything you'd say to a site that FAILs the checker and is being suspended. Then enclose it with the special tags. {{!PASS}}YOUR EMAIL HERE{{/!PASS}}
Place BOTH messages into the Approve Message form for your WebRing.
You can find that form in the Customize Emails section or wait until you have a site to approve
Toggle the ring to enable 'Conditional Approval'
This selection is in the Join Settings section of Management
  How to use it
Review the site for qualification issues as normal. If you decide to APPROVE the site, immediately run the checker test for it. The system does not do this for you either ahead of time or at the time of approval. You will then know which status will be assigned to the approved member and avoid a nasty letter from the approved member.
